November 2016 - Roy Lichtenstein

4th and 5th Grade

Project Title: Roy Lichtenstein

Description:
  • Pop artists based their art on popular things in modern life, such as advertising, consumer goods, mass media and brand names.  Roy Lichtenstein (October 27, 1923- September 29, 1997) is best known for his distinctive style revealing dots of primary colors used in the commercial printing process and the exaggerated action and emotion of popular imagery. Students printed Ben-Day dots and used everyday objects to develop their artwork.
